English summary

MeowTunes Discord Presence collects no personal data and sends nothing to any remote server. We do not operate a backend that could receive user data.

• What is read: on vasl.social pages only — the current track title, artist, album, cover image URL, play/pause state, duration and position. All of it is published by the site itself through the browser's standard mediaSession API.
• Where it goes: only to 127.0.0.1 on the user's own machine, where a local helper forwards it to the Discord desktop client over local IPC. Nothing leaves the device.
• What becomes visible: by design, the track title, artist and cover appear on the user's Discord profile and can be seen by anyone who can see that profile. That is the whole point of the extension, and it can be switched off at any time from the extension popup.
• What is stored: a single on/off preference in browser local storage, plus a local troubleshooting log on the user's own computer. No identifiers, no analytics, no telemetry, no accounts.
• Permissions: storage for the on/off preference, alarms to keep the background connection alive, and host access limited to https://vasl.social/*.

Removal: uninstall the extension from the browser and run the helper with --uninstall, which deletes its folder and logs.
